THINGS TRAVEL TIP: 25HOURS ZÜRICH WEST

The 25hours Zürich West was the 3rd hotel of the group - after Berlin and Vienna - I've spent some days. What they all have in common is that it felt like home.  It is so cosy and casual I didn't feel the urge to go outside to explore the city (okay, it was raining most of the time).

Together with my boyfriend I spent 3 amazing days at the hotel. At every corner there is something to discover. E.g. the ping-pong table (I haven't played ping-pong in a very long time. All the more fun it was.)  or a shop with things you definitely want to have (unfortunately I travelled light this time. Just handluggage.

The hotel is located pretty good. Next to it is the Toni Areal you definitely have to visit (including the amazing rooftop terrace). In front of the hotel you'll find the tram station from where you can head directly in the heart of the city. If you want to exercise a little you can rent a bike (Zürich is the perfect city to be explored by bike) or a microscooter for free at the hotel.  But if you don't like the options mentioned here you also have the possibility to rent a Mini for half a day at the hotel - also for free.

Das 25hours Zürich West war - nach Berlin und Wien - das 3. Hotel der Gruppe, in dem ich ein paar Tage verbracht habe. Was auch hier der Fall ist: Man fühlt sich wie zuhause. Es ist so gemütlich und ungezwungen, dass ich gar nichtmal so stark den Drang verspürt habe, hinaus zu müssen um die Stadt zu erkunden (okay, es hat auch geregnet).

Ich habe dort zusammen mit meinem Freund 3 Tage verbracht. Es gibt an jeder Ecke etwas - für ein Hotel - ungeöhnliches zu entdecken. Zum Beispiel einen Tischtennistisch (Ich habe schon ewig nicht mehr gespielt. Umso lustiger war es) oder einen Shop mit Dingen, die alle haben möchte (ich war leider nur mit Handgepäck unterwegs).

Das Hotel liegt gut. Gleich neben dem Toni Areal, das ich euch sehr ans Herz legen kann (inkl. der megagroßen Dachterrasse). Vor der Tür befindet sich die Straßenbahnstation mit der man schnurstracks ins Zentrum düsen kann. Wenn man es aber ein bisschen sportlicher angehen möchte, kann man sich im Hotel kostenlos Räder (Zürich eignet sich extrem gut, um die Stadt mit dem Rad zu erkunden) oder Microscooter ausleihen. Wer es hingegen ein bisschen entspannter angehen möchte, kann sich auch einen Mini für einen halben Tag leihen. Und das ebenfalls kostenlos. 

My favorite spot in the hotel definitely was the bar area. Not because they offer 25 gin varieties but because it was so very beautiful architectural-wise. The pink colored bar is it! It was also the spot where the breakfast buffet was arranged everyday. The buffet had it all. Paired with the super friendly and cheerful staff there is no way to start the day up on the wrong foot. 

At the 25hours hotel breakfast is served until 11 a.m. during the week and until 2p.m. on weekends! It like hitting the jackpot for  late riser like I am!

Mein Lieblingsplatz im Hotel war der Barbereich. Nicht, weil es dort 25 Sorten Gin gibt, sondern weil er architektonisch genau meinen Geschmack getroffen hat. Die rosa Bar ist einfach zu hübsch! Auf ihr wurde außerdem das üppige Frühstücksbuffet aufgebaut, das keine Wünsche offen gelassen hat.  Gepaart mit megafreundlichen und gut gelauntem Personal konnte der Tag nur gut beginnen. 

Frühstück wird im 25hours Hotel unter der Woche übrigens bis 11h und am Wochenende - haltet euch fest - bis 14h angeboten. Jackpot für Langschläfer wie ich einer bin!

Talking about late riser. The bed: it was supercosy! The invitation - embroidered on one of the pillows -  "Let's spend the night together" was accepted with delight. 

The feelgood factor of the room in genreal was very high. The colors - rather soft - gave the room a certain kind of comfort. Details such as the Bluetooth speaker, magazines or showergel/soap from my favorite body care brand "Stop The Water While Using Me" were the icing on the cake. 

I enjoyed the stay at the 25hours Hotel Zürich West a lot. So did my boyfriend. There will be no way around it when visiting Zürich again.  For sure!

Apropos Langschläfer. Das Bett: supergemütlich! Der auf einem Polster zu lesenden Aufforderung "Let's spend the night together" bin ich deshalb sehr gerne nachgekommen. 

Im Zimmer war der Wohlfühlfaktor generell hoch. Die Farben - eher gedämpft - haben den vier Wänden automatisch eine gewissen Gemütlichkeit verliehen. Details wie die Bluetooth-Box, Zeitschriften oder Duschgel/Seife meiner Lieblingsmarke "Stop The Water While Using Me" waren dann noch das Tüpfelchen auf dem i. 

Ich habe den Aufenthalt im 25hours Hotel Zürich West sehr genossen. Mein Freund ebenso. Bei unserem nächsten Zürichbesuch führt daher bestimmt kein Weg an dem Hotel vorbei.
