Listen up! Here is a sleeper when it comes to breakfast: the 'Harmonie Genießer Frühstücksbuffet' at the Hotel Harmonie Vienna. Hidden in the Serviten quarter in the Harmoniegasse you will find this lovely boutique hotel. I already heard about the breakfast there and since I was curious I stopped by to form my view on it.
The whole selection isn't just regional but also organic (certified). The buffet offers a huge variety of delicacies - various cheeses and sausages, spreads, lox, eggs, cereals, vegetables, fruits, juices (even Kombucha) and crisp bread. Oh, and then there was the smoothie....so good I had to drink 1/2 litre of it. But that's not it. You can choose between five egg meals (of course with free range eggs). The Japanese breakfast sounded very interesting to me: rice, miso soup, lox, cucumber, hard boiled egg and soy sauce. But I went for something more familiar though: the Styrian breakfast with scrambled eggs and pumpkin seeds, pumpkin seed oil and chives. Fantastic!
I enjoyed having breakfast at the Harmonie Vienna. And I'm looking forward to next time!
