IRON(ING) LADY

Nach 15 Jahren des Zusammenlebens mit einem sperrigen Bügelbrett, den ein knallroter Bezug mit kleinen lieben Hoppelhasen zierte war es an der Zeit mich nach etwas Herzeigbarerem & Praktischem umzusehen. Die Aufgabenstellung war es ein Bügelbrett zu finden, das ruhig mal in der Wohnung rumstehen kann, weil man sich für dessen Optik nicht zu schämen braucht. Tja. Und funktional sollte es selbstverständlich sein. Und stabil. Die Suche war lang und intensiv. Letzten Endes hat sie mich dann aber zu Brabantia geführt wo ich eine Art "Liebe auf den ersten Blick"-Erlebnis hatte (hör ich mich ein bisschen alt und eigenartig an, wenn ich das im Zusammenhang mit einem Bügelbrett sage?!). 

Der Bügeltisch hat mich - ganz abgesehen von der Optik - auf ganzer Linie überzeugt. Er lässt sich rasch und einfach aufstellen und genauso wieder zusammenklappen. Um zu verhindern, dass er zusammenklappt, weil man selbst (oder ein Kind) unabsichtlich an den Hebel zum Zusammenklappen ankommt, gibt es eine Kindersicherung. 

Das Bügelbrett steht stabil, ist belastbar (das 1. Bild ist keine Fotomontage!) und höhenverstellbar. Das Bügeln an sich wird einem dank der Form erleichtert. Hosen zum Beispiel lassen sich am spitz zulaufenden Ende perfekt bügeln und widerspenstige Hemden am breiteren Ende. Achja, sollte der Bezug mal nicht mehr ganz so straff gespannt sein, dann kann man ihn dank Kordel und Stretchsystem nachspannen. 

Ein weiteres, nicht unwesentliches Kaufargument: Man hat 10 Jahre Garantie. Sollte doch mal was zu beanstanden sein, wird das Bügelbrett ohne wenn und aber ganz einfach und ohne Fragen getauscht. Kundenzufriedenheit wird bei Brabantia nämlich groß geschrieben.

After 15 years of living with a bulky ironing table with a red cover with cute little bunnies it was time to look out for something more presentable & practical. The task was to find an ironing table which can stand around in the apartment without being embarrassed because of its look. And it should be functional of course. And stable. The search was long and intense. In the end my way led me to Brabantia where I had something like an 'love at first sight'-experience (is it weird and kind of old to say that in correlation with an ironing table?!).

This ironing table convinced me all along. It is quick and easy to put up - and also to fold up. To prevent folding up because you (or a child) pulled the handle for folding it up by accident there is a child safety lock. 

The ironing table is stable, resilient (the 1. picture is no photo composition!) and adjustable to your height. The shape makes it easy to iron your clothes. Trousers e.g. can be ironed perfectly at the pointed end and shirts on the other end thanks to the convenient 'shoulder shape'. Oh, if the cover isn't taut enough you can tauten it with Another selling argument: You get a 10 year guarantee. If something isn't the way it is suposed to be the ironing table is exchanged without asking because customer satisfaction is very important to Brabantia.
