'The Beauty Bar' ist der erste Kosmetiksalon Österreichs mit Walk-in-Service. Ohne lästige Terminvereinbarung bekommt man hier alles, was das Beauty-Herz begehrt: von Maniküre und Pediküre über Waxing, Kosmetik bis hin zu Massage. Sogar Wellness-Smoothies bekommt man – und das alles ganz spontan.
Mich haben die Walk-in-Beautysalons in den USA immer begeistert. Klar, dass ich mir Österreichs ersten Walk-in-Salon mal genauer angesehen habe. Eines gleich vorweg: bei meinen bisher 3 Besuchen waren die Wartezeiten immer sehr gering (10 Minuten max.) und das Personal war ausnahmslos superfreundlich. Man könnte außerdem glauben, dass bei einem walk-in Salon die Termine eher rasch über die Bühne gehen, weil schon die nächsten Kundinnen warten, aber dem ist nicht so. Man nimmt sich dort Zeit, damit am Ende auch die Qualität auch stimmt.
Bei meinem ersten Besuch standen die Klassiker Maniküre und Pediküre am Plan. Ich bin ja ein kleiner Monk und recht picky wenn eines der beiden Services nicht perfekt gemacht wird, aber hier wurden meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Es wurde genau und gründlich gearbeitet und sowohl Maniküre als auch Pediküre haben überdurchschnittlich lang angehalten. Ich habe mir dort auch zum ersten Mal Shellack machen lassen. Was soll ich sagen? Ich bin jetzt großer Fan davon. Nicht nur, weil die Farbe (Rouge) der Hammer ist, sondern auch weil so exakt lackiert wurde, dass die Nägel selbst mit ein bisschen Nachwuchs noch top ausgesehen haben. In den Tagen nach meinem Besuch in der Beauty Bar wurde ich wirklich oft auf meine Nägel angesprochen.
Bei meinem zweiten Besuch habe ich eine Gesichtsbehandlung und eine 60 minütige Chinesische Heilmassage gebucht. Die Massage war traumhaft, wenngleich auch nicht ganz schmerzfrei. Nachdem ich viel Zeit vorm Computer verbringe, ist mein Nacken-/Schulterbereich immer wieder dementsprechend verspannt. Nach den 60 Minuten, die zu einem Großteil den Bereichen Nacken, Schulter & Rücken gewidmet wurden, war jegliche Verspannung verpufft.
Ich habe das große Glück, dass meine Haut im Gesicht mittlerweile problemlos ist. Hin und wieder gönne ich mir aber trotzdem eine Gesichtsbehandlung. In einer Stunde wurde zuerst mal die Haut analysiert. Danach folgten Reinigung, Aquadermabrassion, Serum, Feuchtigkeitsmaske, nochmal Serum und zum Abschluss eine Algenmaske (alles mit zertifizierter Naturkosmetik von Team Dr. Joseph). Achja...und natürlich eine megaangenehme Gesichtsmassage. Ich weiß nicht, wann meine Haut zum letzten Mal so frisch, ebenmäßig und strahlend ausgesehen hat. Obwohl im Anschluss noch ein paar Erledigungen im 1. Bezirk anstanden, hab ich auf das Make-up verzichtet. Das wäre nämlich wirklich nicht notwendig gewesen.
Der 3. Besuch stand wieder ganz im Zeichen von Maniküre und Shellackerneuerung. Hier kann ich mich nur wiederholen: alles top!
Auf Besuch #4 freue ich mich schon sehr. Das wird die Woche mal nach der Arbeit der Fall sein, denn schließlich ist die Beauty Bar bis 20h geöffnet.

I fancy the walk-in beauty salons in the US. Of course I had to experience Austria's first one. Let me tell you something before I start with the report about my visits: At each of my three visits I had to wait not longer than 10 minutes and the staff was always super friendly. I haven't been rushed through the appointments (even if you could think that this must be the case when other clients are already waiting). The staff takes its time to perform just perfectly.
For my first appointment I went for the classics: manicure and pedicure. I'm quite picky when it comes to those services. I really expect perfection (otherwise I could do it by myself). But at the Beauty Bar my expectations were exceeded. The services were performed precise and detailed. Plus the results were outstanding long-lasting. It was the first time I had my nails done with shellack. What should I say? I'm a huge fan now. Not only because the color (Rouge) is awesome but also because they painted my nails so precise they looked like photoshopped. Even after 3 weeks they still looked good.
My second appointment was all about facial and a 60 minute Chinese massage which was divine even when it wasn't painless at all. I spend a lot of time in front of the computer so my neck and shoulders are quite tense most of the time. After the massage it all was gone. Like magic!
When it comes to the skin on my face I'm blessed. I don't have any troubles with it (anymore). But I grant myself a facial every now and then. In one hour my skin was analysed, cleansed, peeled with aquadermabrasion, nourished with a serum, pampered with a moisturizing face mask, nourished again with a serum and indulged with a sea weed mask (all with organic products by Team Dr. Joseph). I really don't know when my skin was that smooth, glowing and fresh for the last time. I had to run some errands in the first district afterwards, but I went without make-up. It wouldn't have been necessary at all.
My third visit was all about manicure and renewing the shellac. I just can repeat myself: everything was perfect!
I'm really looking forward to visit #4 which will probably take place this week after work since they are open until 8 p.m.
